About Livmore

Small by design. Experienced by accident.

Livmore has been around in various forms for more than 20 years, which is either reassuring or mildly alarming.

In that time we've designed websites, built software, launched products, connected systems, automated workflows and picked up an unreasonable amount of knowledge about how businesses actually operate.

We're deliberately small. The people you talk to are generally the people thinking about and building the work. These days AI lets a small experienced team do considerably more than it used to. We quite like that.

We're deepest in businesses where the digital and physical worlds overlap: coworking and flexible workspace, hospitality, property, tourism and experience-led businesses.

Hamlet came from the work

Livmore's founders also founded Hamlet, the workspace operating platform.

Hamlet wasn't conceived in a workshop as a SaaS idea. It grew out of years working closely with WOTSO and seeing the operational problems inside flexible workspace first-hand.

That experience is one reason Livmore understands the sector unusually well. It does not mean Livmore only works with Hamlet customers. We work independently with operators using whatever technology makes sense for their business.

We use AI a lot. That isn't the interesting bit.

AI is part of how we research, prototype, design, code and automate work inside Livmore. We also implement it inside client businesses where it is genuinely useful.

We don't train foundation models and we don't pretend every business problem needs AI.

The interesting part is what an experienced small team can now accomplish without adding layers of people, meetings and overhead.

The people you'll actually work with

James Brouard

James Brouard

Co-founder, product and strategy

James has spent more than 20 years building digital products, websites and businesses. He sits somewhere between product strategist, designer and operator, usually translating messy business problems into something customers, designers and developers can all understand.

He co-founded Hamlet after years of working closely with flexible workspace operators and continues to work across product, customer experience, automation and new technology.

James is based in Spain and works across Livmore and Hamlet with clients and teams in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe.

Mitch Sato

Mitch Sato

Co-founder, Technical Director

Mitch has spent more than 20 years building software and solving complex technical problems across Australia, Japan and the US.

Before Livmore and Hamlet, his experience included building software for Toyota and serving as CTO of Recomazing. Today he leads Livmore's technical work across architecture, full-stack development, integrations, infrastructure and increasingly AI-powered development and automation.

He's the person we bring into the problems where several systems, APIs and business rules all need to work together without creating another layer of complexity.

Mitch is also co-founder and technical lead of Hamlet, giving him more than eight years of hands-on experience building technology for flexible workspace operators.

A distributed team by design

Livmore is more than two people. Behind the founders is a small group of designers, developers and technical specialists we have worked with for years, on client projects and on overflow work when deadlines demand it.

They are selected carefully and tested thoroughly before they touch client work. Every one of them is genuinely talented, fully integrated into how we work and treated as part of the team rather than as outsourced hands.

That structure means we can scale a team up or down depending on what a project actually requires, without carrying overhead you end up paying for. The team works across Australia and Europe, so work can carry on across time zones when a project needs it.

How we like to work

Understand before building

Technology should fit the operation, not force the operation to fit the technology.

Small teams, direct communication

Clients should be able to talk to the people thinking about and building the work.

Automate the boring parts

Use software and AI to remove repetitive work, not the human interactions people value.

Say when something isn't worth building

Sometimes the right recommendation is to configure what you already have.

Have something messy we should look at?

Show us the workflow, system or digital experience that's causing friction. We'll tell you where we'd start.

Want to join our team?

We keep the core team small and bring in specialists we trust. If you're a designer, developer or technical specialist who works that way, we'd like to hear from you.

Tell us what you do, the kind of work you want more of and where we can see it. We'll come back to you honestly about whether there's a fit now or later.
